Ayan & Nicole

We were classmates in elementary school. I didn’t know who Ayan was. I just knew that one of my classmates is a son of my mother’s friend in high school. We went to different schools after graduation. It was in our second year of college when I received a message from Ayan. I ignored it. I thought that he was just making fun of me. Before I received his message, I saw a photo of him with someone I knew during high school.

On the first day of class of the second semester, I saw him in our campus. I had my doubts if it was really him. Up close, I knew for certain that he is Ayan, my classmate in elementary.

I told my Mom that I saw his friend’s son. That he is now also a student at La Salle. That he sent me a message sometime ago.

My mom told me that maybe he needs some help. He just transferred to La Salle. That started our friendship. My family is very strict. He is the answer to my prayer. He had the courage to seek permission from my family to court me. He respected their wishes. He patiently and devotedly courted me for about a year. Like any other relationships, we had our ups and downs. Together in love with the grace of God, we face all odds.
